The Theta Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was chartered in Longview, Texas on May 22, 1976 at the Gregg County Community Center.There were many sorority sisters present from the various Zeta Phi Beta Sorority chapters in the area. The National and Regional officers who were present were Regional Director Thelma Thomas, Lake Charles, Louisiana, Associate Regional Director Bobbie W. Moorehead, past National Basileus Lullelia W. Harrison, and Undergraduate Counselor Shelia Meuton, all of Houston, Texas.
