The YWCA of San Gabriel Valley (YWC-SGV) was incorporated in 1935, for over 85 years the YWCA-SGV has functioned as a true community asset, providing health, social and human services, demonstrating its worth and value to the many communities within San Gabriel Valley. Today, YWCA-SGV is moving forward with culturally responsive programming and system reform initiatives that reflect the values embedded in its mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. As a multi-service organization the YWCA has worked hard to earn the communities' trust, and has continued to seek new opportunities that focus on marginalized communities to promote overall well-being, health equity, racial justice, healthy and violence free communities and a better quality of life for all.
