Mission: Uplifting young men through Education, Empowerment, and Exposure.Vision: Providing a platform for young men to reach their full potential through education, service, and scholarship.Young Brothers Academy is a twelve-week program that includes various inspirational speakers, college visits, critical thinking workshops, service projects, and much more. Participants will go through an application process, and 10-15 students will be selected to make up the initial cohort. The students selected must obtain a 2.5 grade point average in school and demonstrate upstanding character throughout the school year. The scholars will sign a contract on the day of the first meeting agreeing to the expectations of Young Brothers Academy (YBA). If a scholar is unable to fulfill their commitment to the process, they will be dismissed from the academy. A grace period for improvement will be administered before permanent dismissal. The program will conclude with a graduation ceremony honoring the young men who completed the program with a certificate and a tie with the YBAs seal. Scholars will be encouraged to return to serve as mentors for the cohort to come after them. YBA sessions will be held in both fall and spring seasons.
