Training FormatsWe offer our training through multiple formats:Public Programs: In-house sessions open to the public, available online and in person. Face-to-face sessions are capped at 30 participants to create a supportive environment.Tailored Training for Organisations: Customised sessions for teams or groups, focusing on recognising and responding safely to sexual violence using trauma-informed approaches tailored to each audience.By offering both broad-access programs and targeted training, Yarrow Place ensures high-quality, practical, and trauma-informed education is accessible to all sectors of the community.Our Training Packages1. Forensic TrainingAudience: Medical practitioners interested in supporting survivors of sexual violencePurpose: Equip participants with practical skills to respond to sexual assault disclosures, provide medical and forensic care, and develop clinical forensic skills (injury documentation, affidavit writing, giving expert evidence in court).Key focus: Responding to disclosures in a way that is safe, supportive, and legally informed, while prioritising survivor dignity and choice.Delivered by: Doctors and nurses from the Yarrow Place Medical TeamDetails:Time: Two daysCost: $350 inc. GST4. Rural & Remote TrainingYarrow Place recognises the unique challenges of rural, regional, and remote communities. Training sessions are offered regionally upon request to ensure equitable access to information and support.Key focus: Responding to disclosures in contexts with limited services, and understanding how to connect survivors with appropriate supports.5.
