Wrexham BID (Business Improvement District) is a business-led initiative dedicated to transforming Wrexham into a premier destination for culture, innovation, and community. Representing over 500 local businesses, our mission is to drive economic growth, increase footfall, and ensure the city remains the welcoming and vibrant heart of North Wales. By providing a powerful collective voice for the business community, we aim to raise and invest over £2 million into the city over the next five years, focusing on modernizing our local offer and attracting new investment to help the region thrive.Our core work focuses on enhancing the city's infrastructure and safety while championing the local economy. We are committed to making the city center easier to navigate and ensuring it remains a friendly and secure environment for everyone. By driving down business costs and securing additional funding, we provide the support necessary for local enterprises to flourish. We also leverage Wrexham’s recent global recognition—stemming from its City status and world-famous football heritage—to further elevate our profile as a key economic driver for the North Wales economy.To achieve these goals, we host and support a wide range of exciting projects and events designed to drive loyalty, footfall, and spending. These include community-focused activations that celebrate Wrexham’s unique Welsh identity and diverse cultural voices, as well as various regeneration initiatives. Through constant engagement with our business members and collaborative task groups, we work to address regional challenges and showcase Wrexham as a modern, innovative, and culturally rich city.
