Women in Defense - Palmetto Chapter

Women In Defense (WID), a National Security Organization, an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), cultivates and supports the advancement and recognition of women in all aspects of national security. A non-profit organization, WID was established in 1985 to provide women a formal environment for professional growth through networking, education, and career development. Based in Charleston, SC, WID PC provides networking and professional development opportunities to promote the role of women in national defense and security. Our key initiatives include the WID PC STEM scholarship, Military Women of the Year, and an Annual Oyster Roast benefiting the VA Fisher House.  The WID Palmetto Chapter was founded on March 13, 2009 and serves South Carolina as well as Fayetteville and Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina.
