    About Virginia Key Beach Park Trust

    Established on August 1, 1945, as “The Colored Only Beach”, the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust operates Historic Virginia Key Beach Park (HVKBP) highlighting its rich cultural history, regional African American contributions, civic activism, and environmental preservation to educate future generations. Additionally, the Trust partners with organizations to help improve our communities through HVKBP programs and events.Open all year, the Historic Beach Park provides activities for visitors of all ages who enjoy a Historic Cultural Center, environmental exploration, natural tropical shoreline, recreational activities, and award-winning music venue events.
