Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services has cared for children in need for almost 100 years. Its children home was founded in 1923 with a mission of sharing Christ's healing love with children, youth and families in crisis.Close to 200 boys and girls from all over Arkansas live at Vera Lloyd's children's home in Monticello each year. These youth have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect, abandonment or adjudication and live at Vera Lloyd's children's home for anywhere from a few days, months or years. While Vera Lloyd contracts with the State of Arkansas to provide these important services, those contracts only cover about 58% of the agency costs.Gifts from our supporters make all the difference in healing children from abuse and helping them create pathways to success.
