Members are encouraged to attend sketch meets, and post images created from observation on this group Facebook page.WE FOLLOW THE URBANSKETCHERS.ORG MANIFESTO:1) We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.2) Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.3) Our drawings are a record of time and place.4) We are truthful to the scenes we witness.5) We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.6) We support each other and draw together.7) We share our drawings online.8) We show the world, one drawing at a time.WHO CAN JOIN: adults of all drawing skill levels within the Cape Fear and surrounding region can physically attend a meetup. Only personal Facebook accounts can join this Facebook Public Group. We are a non-competitive art group therefore, promotional Facebook Art Pages will be removed.NO INSTRUCTION, NO FEE TO JOIN Facebook group. A donation of $5 is requested upon sketch meet participation and $5 annually thereafter.SKETCH OUTS/INS: official sketching meetups occur at least twice monthly on Wednesdays, and one Saturday meetup per month, announced as a PUBLIC event via Facebook Group Event: Urban Sketchers Wilmington NC.
