There were several promises made my the event organizers that fell incredibly short. The festival was primarily book vendors and only had one ACOTAR themed table. For an ACOTAR themed event it is unacceptable to have such little variety and have such little of the actual book present. In addition, they did not provide swag bags or tshirts as promised. At an event of the price point the swag bags should be 5-20 percent of the ticket price, so 25-100 dollars. A 10 cent unlabeled grocery store back that you’re asked to decorate yourself was wildly unacceptable. In addition, the festival was supposed to be open bar, but they never booked it. The owner said she would reimburse 35 dollars a person, but that is no where near the cost of alcohol for a 5 hour event. The ball was not great but not horrible. I would say it was solidly middle tier and just enough to not get sued for fraud, but definitely not worth the cost of attendance.
