Follow Tulsa Route 66 Main StreetTulsa Route 66 Main Street is dedicated to preservation and economic development in Southwest Tulsa. Our service area encompasses the Southwest Blvd. corridor from the Arkansas River to 33rd West Ave., and 23rd Street from Southwest Blvd. to the Arkansas River. As part of a national network of Main Street organizations, our work centers around a four-point approach to revitalization: Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality. Our Organization reports to the Oklahoma Main Street Center, housed in the Department of Commerce. Since 2007, Main Street has operated on Tulsa's westside, originally as Red Fork Main Street. In 2014, the organization expanded its scope to encompass more of Route 66 and the Eugene Field area in old West Tulsa. Over the past decade, the Main Street program has revitalized historic buildings such as the Cities Service Station No. 8, built a pocket park in Red Fork, sponsored iconic neon signage and public artwork, and hosted a variety of community events.
