THEATREdART was founded in 2003 with the intent to bring a new audience to the theatre and specialize in experimental, absurdist, and surrealist forms of the avant-garde tradition. Nowadays, we also make it a goal to perform plays that challenge an audience by bringing to light controversial or complex social issues. War, politics, human relationships—nothing is off-limits. Previous productions of THEATREdART include: Help!Murder!Puppets!, Angels in America, Short Eyes, Dogs the Musical, A Clockwork Orange, Crime and Punishment, Plan 9 from Outer Space, and the annual short play festival, THEATREGASM.
