The WasteShed is a nonprofit thrift store for art, craft, and school materials and a neighborhood center for sustainable fun. We accept donations of reusable creative and educational supplies and make them available to teachers, artists, and the general public for cheap. Since 2014, The WasteShed has diverted over 92 tons of materials (with an estimated value of $1.6 million) away from the landfill and back into our community, and provided deeply discounted or free supplies to hundreds of schools, nonprofits and cultural organizations across the greater Chicago area. We also provide waste-prevention and reuse-based art programming for all ages.Our Humboldt Park location is at 2842 W Chicago Avenue in Chicago.
