Follow The Urban WarehouseThe Urban Warehouse was founded in 2015 by Maria “Patty” Ramblaz, to help children and teenagers stay off the street and stay in school through the beauty of art and skateboarding. The Urban Warehouse combines LA’s vibrant culture, motivating and empowering the community through art and skateboarding. We focus on serving at-risk youth in the Los Angeles area, often those from low income households to motivate them through their early education, college and beyond. One of its most prominent initiatives is the Skate 4 Education program, an afterschool program that awards points for academic excellence and consistent effort. The points translate into prizes, scholarships and a positive learning environment. The Urban Warehouse also provides weekly homework assistance, volunteer hours for highschool students, homework tutoring, opportunities to create art, music, mental health resources and even an indoor skatepark. The youth learn how to be entrepreneurs, responsibility, communication and social skills setting them up for success. The Urban Warehouse has created intergenerational impact resulting in improved grades, higher test scores, and college resources— while providing scholarships, food banks, and field trips for the broader community. Our events are community based so pop-ups, fundraisers, school events and so much more!
