The Social has been one of our favorite dining spots since we moved to New Port Richey over four years ago. Due to a temporary health issue, my wife and I weren’t able to dine in for Taco Thursday, so we placed an online order instead. The promotion is advertised on The Social’s website, Facebook page, and All Events, but nowhere does it state that the offer is dine-in only. After placing our order, we realized the discount hadn’t been applied. I called and explained that we’re longtime, frequent customers and asked if the $4-per-platter discount could be honored. Unfortunately, we were told it would not be applied and that they would update future promotions to clarify the dine-in restriction. This experience was disappointing. As business owners ourselves, we would have made a one-time exception for loyal customers. It wasn’t about the $8 — it was about valuing customer loyalty. Sadly, that opportunity was missed.
