The School of Public Affairs and Civic Engagement

Founded in 2012 as a collaborative, interdisciplinary, public affairs-oriented school that includes Criminal Justice Studies, Environmental Studies, Gerontology, Public Administration, and Urban Studies and Planning, PACE brings together faculty and students to engage in research, teaching, and learning projects.  Through these projects, students learn toharness their passions and develop the skills and leadership capabilities they needto navigatechallenges of the current environment and affect change.  Building on an ethos of social justice and sustainability, faculty prepare PACE graduates with the critical and analytical skills necessary to understand andengage with the pressing issues of our time.For more information about PACE, visithttp://pace.sfsu.edu/.
