    About The REC Room at Hammer + Jacks

    Welcome to the REC Room! The REC Room is a community events space located inside Hammer and Jacks, a family-owned toy store in Portland, OR’s Foster-Powell neighborhood. Dedicated to inspiring kids’ love of Reading, Entertainment and Craft, we host music shows, story times, author visits, creative workshops, and more! This air-conditioned 600 sq ft area is equipped with tables, benches, and a GIANT TV STAGE that welcomes performers and events of all kinds.
