Join us, as we collaborate to create a new AAPI movement in Minnesota for Gender & Reproductive Justice. Over the last few years, we’ve seen national campaigns to erode reproductive rights and access to gender affirming care. Though Minnesota has been promoted as a safe haven that has codified Roe and become a trans refuge state—it’s rare to see stories and resources supporting the Asian Pacific Islander/Asian American Pacific Islander (API/AAPI) community. Though the Asian population has grown over 44% in the last ten years, our resources just aren’t keeping up with our community.We’re seeking to change that with The Paper Lantern Project: A Gender & Reproductive Justice Fund and Arts Movement—a queer SEA-led organization with years of experience in Reproductive Justice organizing. Our movement’s goals are twofold: to expand narratives around Gender & Reproductive Justice to reduce barriers, stigmas and increase the kind of care we have access to AND to support our community through direct action with an AAPI Gender & Reproductive Justice Fund.
