In celebration of Black HIstory Month, The Chocolate Nutcracker is a contemporary extravanganza of African-American diaspora and world culture. We are excited to bring Pittsburgh its first, homegrown African-American Nutcracker! Norma Jean Barnes is Artistic Director with choreography by Aubrey Luttrell, Toddja Thornhill, Marlon Silva, and guest artists. The project is supported with fiscal sponsorship by The New Sun Rising, and is funded by PA Council for the Arts, and The Heinz Endowments Small Arts Initiative.
