We were at the Old Melbourne Road gig at 5.00pm. The place was packed and noisy so the band was amped up and noisy rather than musical, which was a pity. When will people learn that live musos are meant to be appreciated and listened to. They shouldn't have to have the sound so loud that it's pretty much distorted and dangerous to human ears! If you want to thave a conversation, move away from the band area. I found the staff working extremely hard under difficult and packed circumstances and I praise their patience and quick clearing service. The overall experience was OK. People were friendly, security was good and the band was not at its best, BUT the St Paddy's Day atmosphere was rife and that really what it was all about. Good job Munsters Arms!!
