The Merrymakers are a group of neighbors and change-makers living in the historic district (HiDi) in downtown Manchester. The idea for a community block party first came about over a bottle of wine during COVID lockdowns. That idea quickly blossomed into action, and we secured a community grant to host the event in 2023.We all have different backgrounds, but share many common threads - including a passion for community engagement. We aim to use this event and the several others we plan throughout the year to get to know our neighbors and local business owners. Our overall goal is to celebrate the history of the HiDi and maintain its unique charm.
