The Mathers Foundation is a UK orchid conservation charity established in 2019 to preserve and develop substantial collections of orchid species and hybrids, supporting both ex situ and in situ conservation.The Mathers Foundation is proud to hold the National Plant Collection of oncidiums with more than 1,000 different species and hybrids. In Autumn 2021 the Foundation agreed to take over the management and development of Ian Butterfield's unique Pleione collection and all the orchids are managed under the curatorial supervision of our nursery manager Jim Durrant.
