The MAC is the "Murphy Art Center", owned and operated by the artists and crafters of the Valley River Arts Guild. Located on the downtown square in Murphy, NC at 12 Peachtree Street, our huge gallery features 70 artists, 1000’s of local and regional arts and crafts, holds classes for all ages, and produces special events and exhibits. Our non-profit organization of volunteers offer the community our First Friday Art Walk, the MAX Project: Murphy Art Xplosion outdoor art gallery, our MACkey Kids Art classes program, a variety of teen and adult classes, the SMArt Smoky Mountain Studio Tour, a Music/Art program, and all of the special shows and exhibits in our Special Events Gallery at The MAC.
