THE LOS ANGELES FILM & TV MEETUP (LAFTV) is one of the largest, diverse and most ACTIVE, entertainment groups on Meetup.com. The group's goal is to connect like-minded Film, TV and New Media working and emerging professionals as well as entertainment enthusiasts through our numerous events, activities and opportunities. LAFTV is primarily about networking • collaboration • educational and career advancement opportunities, while establishing friendships in the process. Membership includes working as well as emerging entertainment industry professionals at various levels, aspirants and film/TV enthusiasts.  WOMEN HELPING WOMEN IN ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK is a vibrant network of professionals at various levels in the entertainment industry. The group’s work has been to encourage women of diverse backgrounds to think more readily about hiring, empowering, mentoring, actively inspiring and collaborating on a more consistent basis, and to share with others the benefit of their experiences. Although the group has a special mission to support women as leaders in the media, it also welcomes men to its membership as well as its events.  Both entities are headed by Sandra Lord, who is also the brains behind the longstanding, highly esteemed award-winning Hollywood Networking Breakfast®, which is known for featuring Academy®, Golden Globe, Peabody and Emmy® Award winners and nominees, as well as top Hollywood Studio Heads and Production Company Presidents. Ms. Lord’s events are invaluable because they bring together industry leaders and the entertainment community for candid, insightful dialog and never fail to inspire attendees and panelists/speakers alike. J
