The Juxtopia Group, Inc.

The Juxtopia Group, Inc. is a 501c(3) not for profit organization established in 2000 an founded by Dr.  Jayfus  Tucker Doswell. The Juxtopia Group has goals to” 1.     Reduce the critical learning gap of underserved and disadvantaged minorities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, art, and entrepreneurship (STEAME),  at all educational levels; 2.     Increase the number of underserved and disadvantaged minorities that pursue PhD degrees, contribute to STEM related careers, and establish STEM related businesses. To achieve these goals, the Juxtopia Group, Inc. conducts empirical theoretical and application based research & development activities to investigate effective learning tools and  pedagogical/andragogical  approaches that improve, augment, and  accelerate human learning performance  of underserved and disadvantaged minorities.   From prototyping next generation learning technology ranging from mixed reality learning simulations and hands on STEM learning using biologically inspired robotic systems to interactive television and “serious” games, The Juxtopia Group validates and measures its STEM learning interventions against evolving state and federal standards.
