The Greater Augusta HBCU Alumni Alliance was organized as a non-profit organization in 2013. Our purpose is to promote a greater awareness of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the community and encourage high school students to attend an HBCU upon graduation. We have awarded over $70,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning to attend an HBCU. We also provide school supplies to grade school children and sponsor an HBCU college fairs each year. The annual 5K run/walk and health fair is our way of promoting good health care practices to the community.
