Follow The Empire CafeThe Empire Café is an exploration of Scotland’s relationship with Empire through food, music, visual art, academic lectures, poetry, debate, historical walks, film and literature. The Empire Cafe was first based in the Briggait (home of the Merchant’s Steeple ) in Glasgow’s Merchant City during the 2014 Cultural Programme of the Commonwealth Games. The Empire Cafe was founded by co-directors Jude Barber of Collective Architecture and author Louise Welsh .
