The Dorcas Society is a charitable nonprofit organization. It was founded by Kate Douglas Wiggin on November 23, 1897.Monies raised by The Dorcas Society are donated to local Charites such as Keep the Heat On, local food pantries, local Libraries, Leavitt's Mill Health Center, Wreaths Across America, a $1500 scholarship to a Bonny Eagle student and many other local causes.
