The Dancehouse: Empowering Minds, Strengthening Bodies, and Embracing Positive Expression.The Dancehouse is a dance studio, rental space, and small theatre space that is created for fine and performing artists. We provide a safe and affordable sanctuary for all skill levels, ages, and artistic endeavors. The Dancehouse, now expanded to a warehouse in Point Loma, was formed in 2012 out of need for more consistent and convenient rehearsal space. Our current classes include: hip hop, contemporary fusion, salsa, and belly dance. We look forward to adding ballet, jazz, yoga, and much more in the near future. Currently, we are home to Groove Basics, Bite Dance Company, Visual Stimulus Events, KE Casting, StyleMatix Crew, Freestyle Fridays, Catalyst Dance Ensemble, Dancehouse Comedy, and Kruciaal Element Dance Company. We are still currently renting out space to local companies, teachers, and independent contractors; the current rates for studio rentals are $15/hour for regular renters, $20 for one time renters, $30/hour for show rentals, and $50/hour for parties.
