Follow The Command Presence FoundationWhen the uniform comes off, so does confidence. In entering a new world, many women who have served struggle to maintain their command presence. What is command presence? In the military, it is your ability to stand in front of troops and lead the way. It is your ability to lead others with confidence, no matter the circumstance. Too often, U.S. military veteran women struggle with this alone. Today, the Command Presence Foundation provides a safe place of trust and resources to help veteran women rediscover their value, strengthen and develop their confidence, and overcome psychological challenges such as imposter syndrome and isolation. Based in Washington DC, we currently focus on serving the greater DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. With quarterly workshops, monthly informal meetups, and other events in between, U.S. Military women veterans and their allies come together to strengthen their command presence.
