Since its founding in 1999, CTH has been a premier theatre company dedicated to reimagining great literary classics in a way that speaks to the diverse, ever-evolving communities of upper Manhattan and beyond. Its vision is to exist as a platform for powerful work that has the capacity to change lives and reflect the various creeds, colors, and ideologies that form America. Since its founding, CTH has presented a repertory of works ranging from the classical to the contemporary and has also been committed to featuring the works of new and emerging playwrights. CTH seeks to create comprehensive access for theatre artists of diverse backgrounds, including actors, directors, designers, playwrights, technicians, and administrators.
