Follow The C.I.T.Y. x1 Youth GroupCommunity Intervention Through Youth (C.I.T.Y.) x1 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to putting on social events for LGBT youth and their allies that exist at no cost and provide an alternative to the club scene. These events are open to youth ages 14-24 and often include dances, free food, free HIV Testing, and community resources in an alcohol & tobacco-free environment. Since its formation in 2005, C.I.T.Y. x1 has produced over 35 events that have empowered youth by linking them to valuable resources such as transitional living, educational programs, emotional support, volunteer assignments, and other social services. Youth from all areas of Los Angeles attend these events and make up a diverse gathering of cultures, faiths, and backgrounds.
