The Asian Professionals (TAP) was established as a not-for-profit organisation in 2014 (originally named Young Asian Professionals) after three young Asian professionals were not aware of any specific organisation in Queensland for Asian professionals to network, develop friendships, create useful business contacts, hear from inspirational speakers, and exchange professional and personal experiences. There was a need to cater specifically to these Asian professionals who often have a different mindset from the predominant Anglo-Celtic mindset.Today, the founders are joined by a group of ambitious and highly intelligent individuals and together form the executive committee. We host both corporate networking and social events, on weeknights and weekends, giving members ample opportunity to make new and develop existing connections in a relaxed and fun setting.We have held social events in the past such as: bowling, private movie screenings, putt-putt golf, games afternoon, beer tasting, hiking, virtual reality activity, yum cha buffet lunches and annual dinners.Although we are The Asian Professionals, you do not need to be Asian nor a Professional to be a member.
