Terry Edlin’s passion for joyful community living and shared housing has evolved since 2008 when she founded New Community Vision’s(www.newcommunityvision.coop)website and blog.Over the years, the concept has evolved into partnering with congregations and community groups to collaboratively ratchet up their sociability, leading to friendlier, safer communities. This collaboration lays the groundwork for partnerships to develop cooperative housing with the potential to meet our housing needs on a broad scale, even for those with moderate and low incomes.She has been involved in the National Association of Housing Cooperatives, the National Housing Conference, the Center for Cooperative Housing Development, the Chicago Fair Housing Alliance, the Chicago Sustainability Leadership Network, and other groups. She graduated from the GoodCity Chicago Fall 2015 cohort. She has BBA in Economics from Loyola University of Chicago. Terry moved to Chicago when she was 19 and has always loved this city. She lives in Edgewater.
