Follow Terrance StoneTerrance L. Stone is founder and CEO Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy, he started the Young Visionaries is 2001 committed to steering young people away from the life that cost him much of his precious youth. In essence, Terrance is allowing his life mistakes to help others discover their personal worth and true-life purpose. Stone's change in heart, spirit and action has resulted in his reaching over 135,000 at-risk youth. He is also working on a book deal; this book will help youth and adults understand that GOD has given them everything they need to succeed it just needs to be located and activated. Mr. Stone works with students on over 35 campuses and over 9 school districts in the Inland Empire as well as been visiting with students in juvenile hall for the past 10 years. He has been very instrumental in diffusing conflicts between gangs. About four years ago, an African American male shot a Hispanic woman and two children and one of the children died but before the rivals could plan a retaliation, Mr. Stone met with the Hispanic family and assisted them with funeral arrangements, introduced them at several events and just adopted them as his family. He is also aware that without jobs, young people will take on negative behavior and for that reason, he was able to set up a print shop which gave young people training, jobs and a reason to stay focused on their school subjects. Speaking of schools, Mr. Stone and several of his male career members started a men mob where they would visit middle and high schools at the beginning of the school day. They would stand at the entrance to the school, all decked out with suits, shirts, etc., and greeted each student and encouraged them to have a good day. This has been such a success they are doing this in San Bernardino, Adelanto, Rialto, Fontana, Moreno Valley and Riverside. The requests are steadily coming in as their presence have changed the attitudes of many of our youth. Mr. Stone has made presentations internationally and several states in the United States. He has an annual gala where he raises funds to provide scholarships to students. On the fun side, he can be seen with busloads of students at the Clippers, Lakers, Dodgers and Angel games. His passion also includes providing food baskets for thousands of families at Thanksgiving and thousands of toys and more food baskets at Christmas.Sincere efforts have resulted in Mr. Stone receiving hundreds of awards 2020 Martin Luther King Community Service Award ~ 2019 Distinguished Service in Civic and Community Service Award ~2018 Tom Bradley Community Service & Distinguished Citizen Award ~2018 Todays Leadership Spark Creating Leaders Through Youth Enrichment Award~2018 DVL Icon Award ~2017 Boy Scouts of America Whitney M.
