Tergar Mingyur Canada (TMC) is a local Tergar community dedicated to serving the Chinese-speaking Dharma community in Canada. Since 2018, the centre has actively supported the Tergar study and practice among Asian communities in Canada, gradually cultivating profound spiritual connections. In May 2025, the centre was formally named by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and officially established on August 8th of the same year, becoming a significant bridge between East and West within the Tergar international community and a sacred gateway for the transmission of the Dharma.The center is rooted in the study and practice of the Tergar meditation system, following the authentic lineage of Mingyur Rinpoche to offer practitioners stable, systematic, and compassion-based guidance and support. Through diverse formats such as the Tergar Bookclub, Tergar Meditation, JoL and PoL and related programs, etc., spanning both online study and in-person retreats, TMC guides practitioners along the path of awareness — turning inward to face the mind directly and recognize innate wisdom.The centre’s programs are grounded in Rinpoche’s books, root texts, and teaching videos, offering practical methods to settle the mind, transform afflictions, and awaken the inherent clarity, compassion and wisdom within. TMC serves as a vital Dharma hub for the Buddhist flourishing of the Tergar lineage worldwide.
