Take Two Film Academy is the first and foremost film school for kids and teens dedicated to teaching young people filmmaking and media literacy. We believe that by putting the tools of filmmaking in the hands of our students this gives them a true voice to communicate efectively in the 21st Century. Through our thought leadership with our book The Third Dimension of Literacy we teach students everything needed to understand and create media from creating stories, holding the cameras and making the final cut. Take Two was founded in 2009 and has served students throughout NYC, New Jersey, Long Island, and Boston. We work within dozens of schools and offer in-school residencies and after school programs in addition to running our stand alone workshops. Take Two student films are regularly screened at local festivals and have been a part of the Tribeca Film Festival since 2013. We also launched our non-profit the Take Two Media Initiaitve to bring education in the field of Media Literacy to all learners.
