Love the bagpipe & drum band: that is the main attraction. The live music band playing dance music was engaged & engaging; I hope they return. Wonderful variety in the items for silent auction. Nice alcoholic options; especially the Harris gin. I’ve been to several Tartan Balls in DC over the years and the National Press Club venue is fine, but I’d prefer a nice hotel like The Mayflower or The Ritz, which are previous venues. The filet mignon was only ok. A wonderful night.

Loved Brian Cox as guest. Enjoyed event but: Steak was so chewy& fatty it was inedible. (Fish was good. Vegetarian dish looked good.) Not a fan of venue National Press Club; I prefer past venues of Mayflower, Ritz, and Willard. Hard to find entry to Press Club building. Good items on auction. Glenfiddich table was great.
