Sringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation (SVBF) is established as an international extension of the ancient Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri, Karnataka State, India.It is incorporated as a non-profit religious and charitable organization in the USA. The Foundation functions under the direct guidance of the Jagadguru Sankaracharya, His Holiness Sri Sri Bharati Theertha Mahaswamigal of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham.Its name combines the names of Swami Bharati Theertha, the presiding Jagadguru of Sringeri, and His Guru, Swami Abhinava Vidyatheertha. The word Vidya means “knowledge” and Bharati means “Sharada, the Goddess of all learning”. This is the first affiliated Sankara Mutt of Sringeri outside India.SVBF is extremely committed to foster our Sanatana Dharma among global communities in general, and in the Continental United States in particular. Towards that goal,SVBF Northhas been established at 26325 Halsted Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48331 to serve the devotees in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
