Hello Sorors! I'm a Spring '92 initiate of Mother Pearl. I finished HU with my BA in Journalism (School of C!!!) then received my MA in Public Policy from The University of Texas at Austin. I was born and raised in Cerritos, CA and have lived in France, Togo (West Africa) and Yokohama, Japan. I've had a career working at various non-profits as a fundraiser, grant writer, and media manger. Currently, I'm working to Long Beach Unified School District by day and actor/theatre junkie by night.Doing something like this has been a dream of mine for a long time. I've always wanted to give back to Alpha Chapter and create Homecoming activities that supported the four pillars of our sorority:Sisterhood - Song Practice & The BrunchService - Period Project DonationScholarship - Book Scholarships to the current members of Alpha Chapter as well as donating to The HU Alumni Emergency FundFiner Womanhood - Singing at the Centennial Plot (Okay, I didn't create this but y'all know what I mean)Hopefully, these activities will turn into traditions and maybe give birth to an Alpha Chapter Alumni Foundation (*wink*)Looking forward to meeting you all at Homecoming!
