The Golden Age of American Theater presented both opportunity and obstacles for black performers who had previously been limited to minstrelsy. It wasn't a perfect era, but new storylines and open-minded producers and directors gave early performers a chance to pave the way for the talent that is now on full display. This tribute will capture the essence of Black excellence during the Golden Age. Attendees will be entertained, educated and enlightened by the performances.
