The event is designed to explore pathways for restoring the foundations of the American democratic experiment, encouraging participants to speak and act positively while pursuing constructive, community-driven solutions.Our democracy is facing an era of sustained challenges to human dignity. Around the world and at home, authoritarian movements are undermining the rule of law, weakening democratic institutions, and damaging basic human rights. Increasingly, these actions rely on retribution, fear, and divisive culture wars to consolidate power, silence opposition, and erode public trust. In this moment, preserving democracy requires more than resistance—it demands renewal.The SAVE DEMOCRACY FOR ALL Conference is dedicated to building a democracy that not only withstands authoritarianism but thrives. It brings together civic leaders, educators, advocates, legal experts, and other community members to confront democratic backsliding and to advance a shared vision rooted in respect, accountability, inclusion, and democratic values.The keynote address will examine the global and domestic rise of authoritarianism and its direct impact on democracy. It will probe how extreme income inequality has given immense wealth and power to billionaires while stripping decent standards of living from most Americans. During the Conference, we will go beyond recognizing the erosion of the rule of law, the normalization of political retribution, and the manipulation of fear and cultural conflict that threaten democratic systems. We will explore what it will take to reverse these trends and strengthen democratic resilience.
