The international sand sculpting competition at Siesta Key beach is truly amazing to see. The quartz crystal sand on Siesta Key is a perfect medium for these outstanding artists to do their magic. The sculptures are beautiful and amazing in their originality and diversity. Definitely worth seeing. The music and food trucks make it a fun festival. You can experience all four days to watch the artists or just go on the last day to see the finished sculptures and vote for your favorite. Siesta Key beach is listed as one of the top 10 beaches in the world because of its beautiful quartz crystal sand.

Number of sculptures significantly less than other years. Very few had the "wow" factor we had come to expect. Disappointing. Thankfully the live music was very enjoyable.
