Sharon Schmidt, a health educator at the Kent County Health Department, is responsible for providing substance use disorder prevention education to a variety of audiences from elementary school children to adult community members and professionals.The Kent County Health Department has been providing health services to Kent County residents since 1931. The Health Department employs nearly 300 people including public health nurses, sanitarians, health educators, technicians, and public health administrators.
