About SFU Health Sciences Undergraduate Student Union (HSUSU)

HSUSU is a student run organization that exists to enhance the student experience. It is recogized departmental student union under the Simon Fraser Student Society. It acts to promote and represent the interest of the undergraduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences and provide opportunities for personal and professional development.Services provided to students include:-Holding weekly meetings to organize and plan various community, professional, educational eventssuch as: meet and greets with professors, social events, fundraisers, career panels and conferences, grad school Q&A sessions and medical school information sessions to name a few!-Providing ways to get involvedas an executive, a program committee member or an events committee member, FROSH leader, or volunteer.-Providing high quality health sciences apparel.- Advocating for issues on behalf of the student body on a faculty and university level.- Fund students via the 'Travel and Conference Fund' for expenditure related to attending and traveling to health related conferences.There is an open door policy and all members can drop by during office hours or meeting times to discuss ideas, suggestions or concerns.The office is Blusson room 10911 (beside the doors to the bus loop).
