Selene, LLC has a passion for collaborating with small businesses and the local organizations that support them. As a result, the organization has created the Minority Business Mixer. This will be a recurring, lively event focused on connecting local the ecosystem of minority and diverse business concerns within the Black-owned, Woman-owned, Hispanic-owned, Asian-owned, and LGBT-owned business community to corporate business leaders for networking and relationship building. The Minority Business Mixer is designed to provide a forum for minority and diverse business concerns and corporate partners throughout the Magic City to break the ice and establish meaningful business-to-business affiliations.The first mixer will be held to kickoff of UAB’s season opener against Alabama A&M University and their first matchup at Protective Stadium.Thousands of alumni and fans from both universities are expected to bring a packed house to Protective Stadium. The effort to include Alabama A&M, an HBCU, and its fanbase in this premier event in Birmingham presents its alumni, many of whom are the small business owners and corporate leaders within the Birmingham business ecosystem, with a way to celebrate at home. We believe this game will be heavily attended and serve as a perfect catalyst for this conversation.
