The Land Stewardship Team is a part of the SAY Lands Office, the administrative and land management office proudly serving Sq’ewqéyl (Skowkale), Áthelets (Aitchelitz), and Yeqwyeqwí:ws (Yakweakwioose) First Nations in Chilliwack, BC. The Land Stewardship Team ensures the land use within Traditional Territory and surrounding communities is in line with Indigenous Values. Our goal is to connect people with nature, restore natural salmon spawning habitat, educate people about innovative environmental restoration methods, and spark curiosity about the natural world.
