The goal of Sandy's Daughter, CherylAnn Haley, is to help carepartners understand dementia and its vastness while enabling them to learn skills to better engage with their loved one. Knowing that the dementia journey is a long one, CherylAnn promotes Positive Approach to Care skills and loves when a carepartner learns a skill, utilizes it and shares the results. She also shares resources with others that she has found along the way.Support groups are designed to be interactive and include a time of personal sharing, skills training and sharing of resources. The synergy within the groups is often dynamic as carepartners learn that everyone's story is different, but they can relate to each other.
