The San José Symphonic Choir is Ordinary People Making Extraordinary Music!The San José Symphonic Choir (SJSC), a volunteer choral organization, has performed masterworks and contemporary pieces in San José and the South Bay Area since its founding in 1924. Now in Season 98: Resilient, SJSC has been under the inspiring leadership of Maestro Leroy Kromm since 1985. SJSC is comprised of local volunteer singers who annually present a series of concerts that are dedicated to bringing to life large choral works, both old and new, that typically require orchestral accompaniment. Performing a fabulous piece of music for our community is what inspires and energizes us; as we are galvanized and rejuvenated by performing, we hope and believe that our audiences are lifted up and again moved by experiencing the magic of a live choral concert.We are proud of our Mission, to- Enrich, educate, and entertain our audience.Preserve and promote choral music of the highest quality.Recruit local talent and develop musicianship.Provide a community of fellowship for all associated with the organization.
