Jainil Mehta, a Mumbai-born dancer, choreographer, and creative visionary, freelances across the U.S. and India, teaching, choreographing, and performing. A former Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company member, he was named a Dance Magazine “25 to Watch” in 2025 and won the Best Dance Influencer Award by e4m Digital Marketing Awards. Selected as a Winning Works 2024 choreographer for Joffrey Ballet Chicago, he has created productions like Ctrl Alt Delete and DECODED. A USC Kaufman BFA graduate, Jainil has learned and performed works by esteemed choreographers like William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Jodie Gates, Barak Marshall, Alejandro Cerrudo, Dwight Rhoden and Matthew Neenan. Developed J-Flow, a fusion of ballet, modern, and Indian folk/classical dance. His early training includes 12 years at Shiamak Davar International and five years at the School of Classical Ballet & Western Dance under Guru Tushna Dallas. Known for #MenInSkirts, he challenges gender norms and has been featured in BBC News, Elle India, and Good Morning America. Choreographing for artists like Big Wild and Falguni Pathak, he has taught over 1,000 students worldwide. His vision is to establish India’s first accredited higher education dance program, fostering global exchange and artistic innovation.
